Joel Smith has 14 years experience in the accounting profession, the last 11 years having been spent in public accounting. In addition to being a CPA, Joel has earned a credential as a Certified Management Accountant through the Institute of Management Accountants.

Joel is a graduate of UC Berkeley and holds a bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. He joined Bregante + Company as a Supervisor in 2009.

Joel has helped clients with their tax planning and compliance issues throughout his career for all forms of business entities and many industries, including; Real Estate, Construction, Automotive Sales, Professional Services, Restaurants, Tax Exempt Entities, and many others.

Joel is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants having served as past president of the San Francisco Chapter and is currently a regional director. He is also a member of Business Networking International.

Joel is married and has a daughter. His interests outside of work include volleyball, hiking and camping.
